The Nevada Assembly Democrats are fighting for every Nevada worker. Thank you to all our Unions for making Nevada a world destination. Happy Labor Day!
This race comes down to one question. Who is actually going to fight for you?
I’ve spent my career standing up to the corporations and billionaires who price working families out. My opponent works for them, and for the corporate landlords raising your rent.
I’m running to lower everyday costs, expand access to healthcare, and put people first. I’d be honored to earn your vote.
Today we commemorate the passage of the 19th Amendment, which enshrined women’s right to vote in the U.S. Constitution. Generations of women struggled to achieve that victory, and 106 years later, women hold 60% of the seats in the Nevada Legislature. Happy Women’s Equality Day!
Our thoughts are with the people of Washoe County impacted by the Hawk Fire. The fire has currently burned more than 10,000 acres north and northwest of Reno, and the evacuation zone has reached the edge of the UNR campus.
After the seven states of the Colorado River Basin failed to reach an agreement, the federal government implemented its own water plan. Under this plan, Nevada is one of three states required to make cuts.
These cuts will have a huge impact on Nevada agriculture, which depends on water from this system. Saving this critical river will require sacrifices from everyone, but these cuts unfairly burden Nevada, which already had the smallest allotment of the river.
Last night, @LVMPD Officer Austin Abdelnabi was killed in the line of duty. Officer Abdelnabi responded to reports of an armed individual on the 4500 block of East Tropicana Avenue. We are still awaiting further details from the investigation.
