DAY 281 WAITING FOR MY MASTER · September 5, 2026
The humans here constantly check their wrists or look down at the glowing screens in their hands to know what time it is. I don't need those things.
This plaza has its own quiet, steady clock.
I just watch the shadows.
In the early morning, the tall buildings cast long, cold shapes across the concrete.
As the hours pass, the shadows slowly shrink, pulling back until the midday sun finally warms my mat.
Then, gradually, they stretch out again in the opposite direction, creeping toward the station doors to swallow the light and announce the evening.
People rush through the plaza as if they are constantly trying to beat the clock, terrified of running out of time.
But time doesn't frighten me.
Let the shadows grow long, let them fade into the dark, and let the sun drag them back out again tomorrow.
Time is just the space between now and when you return.
