weirdo idk whether you can’t put two and two together and deduce why you were told not to ask about the baby you’re using someone else’s real life as gist
Replying to @merkelisart
asked without thinking twice. I’m not close with any of my coursemates enough to get the gist either. I’ll find out soon though, don’t worry. I just hope she is alright

Underrated life advice: get better at recovering fast. You're going to fail. You're going to get rejected. Make bad calls. Lose money. Embarrass yourself. Whatever it is, the goal is shrinking the gap between falling down and getting back up. Master the art of starting over.

A society should never become so loyal to institutions that it forgets institutions exist to serve its people.

I think ppl get offended when you aren't ashamed of things that they were taught to be ashamed of. They resent you for not caring what everybody thinks

i think the saddest part of this whole situation is watching all the older nurses who called for their punishments and those who are still claiming that the video was wrong nobody wants to make anything smoother for the people coming after them it’s so disheartening

No patient information revealed. No patient seen in the video. Nobody was harassed or threatened. No sexual misconduct. No incitement. No breach of confidentiality. No fraud. No clinical misinformation. Just a dumb joke abt Gen Z's being young and goofy. That was it oh!
Lecturers would sexually assault students or demand sex for grades and walk away with a slap on the wrist, a brief suspension, or absolutely nothing. But students make one harmless, stupid TikTok and it's 100% worth destroying their entire lives.

So those 500L students whom the school just expelled without giving any tangible reason, simply because they made a dance video, will just go home like that? It seems many Nigerians don't know their rights. If I were related to them in any way, the school would definitely meet me in court.

Nigerians love making a mountain out of a mole hill. Nurses danced and people are now saying that they aren't capable of taking care of patients. So how do you determine the intelligence of someone from a 30 seconds video 🫩🫩? Meaning, if you people saw my roommate twerking for us when I was in year 1, you'll immediately conclude that she doesn't know book, but she was the BGS in her set! It's tough being a medical student in this country without people scrutinizing you 🤦🏽‍♀️.

This is how they produce a large generation of subservient citizens. Nigerian institutions, both private and government are built to destroy any atom of confidence in the minds of young Nigerians.
Madonna University has expelled nursing students over a viral hospital video, prompting NANS to appeal for clemency. NANS acknowledged the misconduct but urged the university to replace the expulsion with a stern warning, allowing the students to continue their studies.
