I will always speak my mind, so if you’re permabear, I honestly don’t feel sympathy for you. What you consume every day eventually becomes how you see the market. If fresh leadership shows up and you miss the entire wave because your feed convinced you the world was ending... that one’s on you. Prioritize an adaptable mind & protect your focus at all costs in Q4.

Historically, Q4 has brought some of the strongest seasonality. Take that information as you wish, because nobody knows what comes next. But if the market starts serving up fat pitches, do you have the conviction to actually swing? Last 3 months, let’s see what they give us...

If you bought leadership into yesterday’s weakness, congrats you're now in deep cushion. Same lesson the market has been hammering home for months... focus on what’s working, cut what isn’t, and stop making it harder than it needs to be. Q4 looks promising!
Same thing we've seen the last few months. Every flush gets violently bought, and the market basically rips the rug out from anyone pressing the downside. I hope you bought something today... if this is a little preview of Q4, I’m all ears. :) I have no clue what happens next.

$SKHY looks squeezy heading into next week > 195, with some pretty notable strength into the close. Give me another day or 2 of tightness, and I think this sucker is ready. Chart: $SKHY.

I challenge you this weekend. Stop searching 1000+ random stocks for setups. Find the pond with the fish first. If I'm going fishing, I'm not randomly throwing my line into every puddle I see. I talk about this all the time, but my weekend scanning process really isn't complicated. I start at the TOP. Every weekend, before I'm digging through hundreds of individual stocks, I go through the sector/group ETFs. Find where the fish are first! That's exactly how I approach weekend scans: Group strength & individual setups.

Might be controversial, but my goal isn't to make every trade work. My goal is to wait for moments when the potential reward becomes disproportionately large relative to the risk. That's when the money starts looking like it's sitting in the corner...
BTW, patience in trading isn't sitting around hoping something happens. It's actively refusing mediocre opportunities, so your capital + attention are available when something exceptional finally appears. But when leadership, environment, price + risk all line up? Swing hard.

$NOW getting super tight off the 9/21EMA intraday. 30min compression + VWAP reclaim + HLs forming, exactly the type of area I look for to keep risk stupidly tight. Nobody knows what happens next, but buyers need to reclaim 140 before this really gets moving...above there, I think 150+ comes into play pretty quickly. Define the risk, wait for confirmation, then go for a walk! Chart: $NOW.

6figure months are cool, green weeks/months are cool, outbeating the market is cool. But if you never withdraw profits + actually pay yourself, what are we doing here? Pay yourself after the good runs...you’ll be glad you did when the inevitable bad day/week comes around.

$MSFT bought yesterday off the 21EMA undercut + support gap at LOD. Now sitting around 517, with the Oct. 16 510c up ~200% in 1 day. You don’t need to trade every day, find leading names, get positioned when the R/R is stupidly obvious, and then learn to SIT. If you want to learn exactly how I approach these setups + manage risk, link is in my bio. Chart: $MSFT.

The traders who last aren't necessarily the ones who avoid losing streaks. Paper cuts aren't the problem! A -1R loss isn't the problem. A b/e trade isn't the problem. Turning 5 paper cuts into an emotional -15R drawdown because you're desperate to make it back IS the problem. Profitable traders prevent losing streaks from becoming account changing events. Control the drawdown and live to trade another day!

My favorite true stress tests for leadership are what happens when a strong stock gets flushed into the 9/21EMA. If sellers push it down and buyers immediately snap it back, that’s real evidence of demand, and exactly where my attention starts shifting toward the right side of the V. I’m not trying to catch the low. I’m waiting for that intraday demand to show itself, then looking for the VWAP reclaim or 15/30-minute pivot to get involved with LOD risk. This is how I get asymmetric risk.

I haven’t been super busy putting on a bunch of new positions this week, but the green light keeps getting confirmed by the names that ARE working. Groups are heating back up! For right now now we sit tight and see how they close out the week. Chart: $MSFT, $HPE, $AMD & $NOW.

I’m officially coining the term “keep it stupid simple.” It’s been long overdue. New bio, same guy who’s spent 6+ years learning that making things more complicated usually just makes me more stupid. Keep it stupid simple!

This business gets simpler when you stop needing every variable in the universe to agree with you. The desire for 10 different confirmations usually comes from wanting certainty. There is no certainty! Define your edge, your risk, take the trade & accept that it can still fail.
You can stare at the 10-year, NAAIM, interest %'s, Fed policy + 47 other indicators to convince yourself not to take a trade. If my setups are working, leaders are paying me & my risk is defined, I’m pressing. Stack the probabilities in your favor, follow price & manage risk.
