Tyler, I think incentives are one of the most overlooked parts of financial advice. Two people can have exactly the same knowledge and still give very different advice if one gets paid more when you buy a particular product. The question I always find more useful is not just “Is this advice good?” but “What does the person giving it get paid to recommend?”
