A note on Fiamma 🧵 Some of you have asked about a Fiamma TGE / airdrop, so I want to be fully transparent. 1/ Fiamma has sunset. We closed Fiamma Bridge — our trust-minimized Bitcoin bridge powered by BitVM2 — in March 2026, alongside a major team restructuring, including the departure of our former CTO. 2/ We never launched a token. We explored a TGE in 2025, and when testnet users asked about rewards, we said there'd be an allocation for them. But since Fiamma never launched a token, there is simply nothing to distribute. A closed project can't airdrop a token that doesn't exist. I'm sorry we couldn't deliver on that, and I don't want to pretend otherwise. 3/ While Fiamma was live, users earned real value in other forms — seamless one-click BTC earn powered by the most trust-minimized btc bridging technology BitVM, 10–20% APY on BTC through generous incentives from the Sei and Aptos foundations, whom I'm deeply grateful to. Beyond that, we later received several hundred K in incentive proposals from major foundations — all of which would have gone to users. But I didn't feel the underlying business was sustainable, so rather than keep it running on incentives, we chose to close the bridge. Throughout, users also earned via weekly/monthly lotteries and community rewards, and many who used mainnet earned by putting fiaBTC to work in DEXs and lending protocols. I can't speak for everyone's experience, but rewards did flow. 4/ My current project, Ride, operates independently. Some of our Fiamma community have carried over and I'm grateful for that. I did consider airdropping to Fiamma Bridge users if Ride launches a token — but Ride hasn't decided on a TGE, and I don't want to make promises I can't keep, to either Fiamma or Ride users. 5/ Closing Fiamma was the right call. The market shifted hard, and launching a token with no lasting utility — one likely to trend to zero — wasn't something I was willing to do. I'd rather build products people show up for because they're useful, not because they're farming an airdrop. Thank you to everyone who genuinely supported Fiamma. I'm now fully focused on serving Ride's users, and I appreciate your patience and understanding. 🙏
