Colorado civics for the “I don’t do politics” crew 🤠
You live here. You pay here. You drive on the roads, send kids to the schools, shop and open the utility bill.
CO. HOUSE = 65 people.
2-year terms. All 65 on the Ballot Every Even Year 2026, 2028. Term limit: 4 terms in a row (8 years). Nov 3, 2026 is the whole House. Miss it we wait until 2028.
CO. SENATE = 35 people.
4-year terms. Only about half up each Even Year. This year: 18 seats. The rest sit until 2028.
Term limit: 2 terms in a row (8 years). Wrong year for your senator = you wait four years. No refund.
Same 8-year cap. Different clocks. House is frequent. Senate is slow on purpose.
Registered voters:
• Unaffiliated ~51%

Who holds the building:

Unaffiliated is the biggest group and the loudest shrug.
“I don’t do politics” is not neutrality. You still pick a primary ballot. You still hire the people who Tax you, school you, regulate you and rob you.
The Capitol is not unaffiliated. Get on board like that $5,000 is already in your pocket. Because it is.
