Isra was killed while making a doll from clay. Just 24 hours later, her mother followed her. 💔
On September 1, 2026, little Isra Al-Hassi was inside her family’s tent east of Deir al-Balah, sitting beside her mother, Umm Islam, playing with colored clay and shaping her favorite doll.
Suddenly, Israeli gunfire tore through the tent, killing Isra instantly and critically wounding her mother.
Isra had come after 17 years of waiting. Her mother could not survive losing her. The following day, September 2, Umm Islam died from her injuries.
A little girl shaped a doll from clay; a mother shaped 17 years of waiting into a dream named Isra.
Then they left together. 💔

Israeli Finance Minister Smotrich just said the quiet part out loud.
He called the operation in southern Lebanon an “unprecedented thorough cleansing,” said the people there have nowhere to return to, and bragged that the world isn’t stopping them.
