Immigration judges serve under the Department of Justice, and the anti-mass-deportation crowd that slowed everything down under Biden has been cleaned out so cases can finally move. Asylum approval rates under Trump judges have plummeted to about 5 percent after sitting near 50 percent under Biden. That is not cruelty. That is a country remembering it has borders, laws, and a right to say no. Clear the backlog and send them back.

The easiest thing to get someone with dementia to do is sign documents that they don’t have any clue what is in them.
