The Bakugo and Todoroki pair is what drags the trio down overall. They both have relationships with Izuku but they themselves very rarely interact in any meaningful way. If we got a bit more of them actually talking in arcs where they're together, the trio would fit better

Even Horikoshi doesn't push this trio much. I've only ever seen them together in merch and movies bc they're the most popular. They're called the origin trio bc many key plot points originate from them. Nothing to do with them being a trio skfjdfjfj

Anyway they don't match the chemistry my real big 3 goats have ☀️ 🐙 🌀

I don't know how to explain it, if u pick any 2 of them they have chemistry together as a duo. But all three together, they seem forced.

I think the bigger issue is that the most significantly positive relationship of the bunch is Shoto & Izuku. As you said, their interactions are very limited. I've always thought this trio would've been more interesting as friends who kinda exist on the periphery of each other. I like the thought of them all having their own close-knit friend groups (which Izuku & Bakugo do have) and then coming together when the powerhouses are needed. It's kinda messed up that Todoroki kinda exists as the guy who gets along with everybody, instead of having interactions within a close-knit group of his own, at least to me.
