No, completely different issue… but I would say it’s not emphasized & falls into same category as pure progression play designs… coaches are taking the approach that “we don’t know who’s coming but they can only bring so many, so we will sort it out & block it” which is impossible based off many looks!
So instead of emphasizing & building in options for QB, instead of expecting him to solve these looks, they get in trouble over and over!
Are qbs not calling the proper pass protection due to pure progression? @danorlovsky7 pointed out that the reason qbs are getting hurt because qbs aren't as prepared with calling pass protections, paraphrasing. Are they not calling the right because they do pure progressions?
