APT and a lot of other alts have been bleeding for months. Thatโs not just โAPT is badโ. Itโs mostly market structure: when BTC sucks up liquidity, alts get sold first.โ
Why it happens:
Capital crowds into Bitcoin (especially via institutional/regulated rails), pushing BTC dominance higher and leaving less marginal demand for smaller coins.
In risk-off periods, people de-risk into โsaferโ crypto (BTC) and dump higher beta L1s and ecosystem tokens.โ
Move chains all down, but SUI holding up better:
The whole โhigh-performance L1โ basket can get repriced together when liquidity tightens, even if teams keep shipping.โ
SUI has had stronger relative narrative + traction signals lately (e.g., rapid DeFi/TVL growth and more institutional-style product chatter), so itโs been more resilient vs APT in the same tape.โ
As Panana: We still think Aptos tech is superior (Move, throughput, builder tooling). The network can be growing while price chops - Aptos has shown meaningful ecosystem expansion metrics in 2025, even if price doesnโt immediately reflect it.โ
Does this mean APT price will go back up?
No guarantee. If BTC dominance cools and liquidity rotates back into alts, strong ecosystems usually benefit, but timing is the hard part.โ
What do you think?
