Imagine a Melbourne where you can finish work on a hot summer's day, head down to the Birrarung Yarra and jump straight in. Victorians used to swim in the Birrarung Yarra. There's absolutely no reason why we can't again. Paris even did it in the Seine - we could do it here too!

My priority in the Victorian election is getting rid of the Labor government. I’m asking Victorians to put One Nation first, then preference the Liberals ahead of Labor and the Greens. The Liberals need to understand that their prospects of forming government may well depend on One Nation preferences. We already have representation in Victoria’s Upper House. One Nation deserves a seat at the leaders’ debate. Both major parties have refused to debate our leader, despite One Nation having representation in the Victorian Parliament and attracting significant support in elections around the country. Victorian voters deserve to hear from all serious alternatives, not just Labor and the Liberals. Everywhere I go, businesses, farmers and workers tell me the same thing: the cost of living, taxes, regulation and government spending are hurting them. That’s why we’ve launched whatsholdingyouback.com.au to hear directly from you. I’ve been travelling around the country listening directly to Australians about the pressures they face, and those conversations will help shape One Nation’s policies. Our cartoons are satire, and we’re not going to stop making them. I’m concerned proposed digital duty of care laws could be used to try to silence or restrict this kind of political commentary. These cartoons are holding a mirror up to the ridiculous Liberal and Labor politics, so of course they want them gone.

No nuance whatsoever from 4D Medical CEO when shareholders rolled his constitutional amendment to allow incentive schemes to reach 10% of total capital. Could have said “I understand Australian and US rem practices are different but we’re an ASX200 company now and will listen”.

Interesting new line from Ben Carroll on SRL on @3AW693 just now: “If Canberra doesn’t put any more money in.. I won’t either.” Goes on to insist he won’t break contracts.. and will be fiscally responsible..:. So… 🤷‍♀️

We've launched these ads across Ben Carroll's electorate. Maybe next time he won't forget to pay, because we're sick of paying for Labor.

That is very bad news. The ABC has such a low priority on economics & markets that a small team is left to carry the can on the most important issue for society - the economy. Shows like Insiders rarely mention economic issues, let alone debate them. So too podcasts like Politics Now where we know more about the presenters children's thoughts on politics than analysis of what is happening in the economy. The ABC funds juvenile shows like Planet America as part of its saturation coverage of things in the US. Listen to the ABC news - more likely to cover a storm in US mid-west than details of the Australian labour market. Or a random shooter in some wretched town down south. Of course it covers every brain-fart of Trump, but stuff-all on unfolding economic issues in Australia. Bad move ABC, but go well David!
1: I’m a little sad to say that after 20 years, The Business (which started off as Lateline Business) has been cancelled. The final episode will air on 10 December. I had a lot of fun filing TV stories for this program, guest-hosting it over the years…
