50 years ago in 1976, after UGA rolled past Vanderbilt on Homecoming in Athens, three Georgia legends “rap a little bit” about Dooley’s Junkyard Dogs. In the 45-0 win, the Bulldogs rushed for 366 yards, completed 1 pass — a halfback pass — and held Vandy to 183 total yards.

60 years ago today, Georgia faces VMI in Roanoke’s Harvest Bowl—an annual regular-season charity game. After his fumble leads to a VMI TD, Kent Lawrence returns the ensuing kickoff 87 yards to tie it. UGA ultimately wins 43-7 in its last road game vs. a non-major-college foe.
