BREAKING 🚨 Elon Musk just drew a hard line in the sand: Tesla and SpaceX are taking full command of the Terafab. Full stop. From blueprint to active production, his teams run the entire show. If an industry giant like TSMC gets involved, it won't be as a co-pilot—at most, they're just renting square footage.
No, we will build and run the fab. Let there be ZERO doubt about that. Maybe TSMC subleases part of the Terafab if they want, but nothing more than that.

OMG @Apple and @xai — can you two get yourselves sorted? 30+ years as an Apple user. Bot user since day one. I love both products. But the more I use Bot, the more I regret being an Apple fanboy. Privacy and security? Love it. Getting my bot to manage iCloud Mail? Ridiculous. Just had to log in and unlock my account ~6 times in a few minutes for one email sweep. Come on team — please get an official connector sorted. Muse already has this. The OG and the new innovators shouldn't be the ones still stuck on Sign In loops.

I just cancelled my @claudeai Pro subscription. I already pay for @X Premium+ and I’m using @grok and @bot more and more. I’ll use the money saved from Claude for more tokens or a higher package 😎

Massive shoutout to @poteto and the @bot team. I’ve been using Xero to run our family business. When I got onto Grok Bot about a month ago I couldn’t find a Xero connector, so I used Grok Bot to wire it up via the API — and it’s been working fine. I messaged Lauren today that it’d be nice if they had a formal Xero connector. She messaged back that one existed — and bang, up and running officially. Damn, the responsiveness of this organisation is off the charts. This (amongst other reasons) is why loyalty to this platform keeps growing. Real value for customers is worth every penny and more. Thank you, team!

We’ve had our Model 3 for two years. Just tipped over 60,000 km. First service? 55,000 km — tyres due. Only two needed replacing, plus a cabin filter and a camera clean. We’ve just ordered our second Tesla. Picking it up next week. First principles isn’t a slogan. It’s fewer moving parts, diagnostics that actually work, and a car that tells you when it needs you — not a calendar that tells you when the dealer needs you. No service is the best service.

Why do BYD and MG still force a service schedule in Australia… while Tesla just lets the car ping you? BYD: 12 mo / 20k km — miss it and the handbook says warranty *may* be voided. MG: 24 mo / 40k km — and the 10-year warranty only unlocks if you stay on authorised services. Tesla: “no regularly required maintenance.” Cabin filter, brake fluid, tyres — when the car says so. Same country. Same EV tech. Different business model. Which one would you rather own?

Thank you @bot for the weekend reset and I just noticed that you also did the normal weekly reset for me in the past 24 hours. So nice to see, after smashing my usage that only sitting at 5%.

For anyone asking whether that EV figure included hybrids — no. Pure battery electric was still the top single energy type. Credit to @OzTeslaGuy for the September Australia stats. But if you group them the way people actually shop the “electrified” aisle: Electrified (BEV + hybrid + plug-in hybrid): 54,202 Petrol + diesel: 51,191 So once you put hybrids and PHEVs with BEVs, electrified is ahead of petrol and diesel combined. Full list — Electric: 26,287 Petrol: 26,018 Diesel: 25,173 Hybrid: 17,843 Plug-in hybrid: 10,072

Tesla FSD is the lubricant for Tesla EV sales, and I think it finally seems to be working. The better this technology gets, the more it gives people a reason to buy the car. I don’t think saving $ money or helping the environment is the main reason people are choosing Tesla anymore. Those benefits still matter, and a Tesla can make financial sense depending on your situation. But I think more and more people are buying one bc they want Tesla FSD. They want to experience what I’ve been talking about for years… like how much easier and safer it can make everyday driving. The numbers are starting to back that up too. Tesla reported that more than 55% of its new deliveries in North America included an FSD subscription in Q2. Globally, paid FSD users reached 1.48 million, up 56% from a year earlier, including both monthly subscribers and owners who bought it outright. Tesla also reported more interest in its vehicles in markets where FSD had received approval. There are clear signs that it’s becoming a bigger part of why people choose a Tesla. That’s why getting people to try it is so important. Tesla already offers FSD on demo drives, so buyers can experience it for themselves. Saving money might get someone interested in an EV. But I think experiencing FSD can be what makes them choose a Tesla and what keeps them coming back for their next one.

Want more evidence that @Tesla FSD is going mainstream? Here’s Kelly from The Car Mom - who reviews family vehicles and tests how well car seats fit in them - driving the new Model Y L. "I'm on FSD. This is the most unbelievable technology I have ever experienced in a car. This is absolutely next-level. It is crazy. I'm going to Target. It is going to pull me into the Target parking lot. I really trust the car. I've taken it through stop lights, intersections, I mean it pulled out of my driveway. It's amazing." When you have people like this starting to praise FSD, you're reaching an audience that just isn't that knowledge about this tech. Looking forward to Tesla's Q3 earnings report on Oct 21 to hear the latest FSD adoption rates/info. On the Q2 earnings call, Tesla said that they achieved record FSD attach rates in North America, with over 55% of new deliveries including FSD subscriptions. Kelly's not on 𝕏, but you can check out her other Model Y L content here (including how well car seats fit in the Y L): youtube.com/@TheCarMom/short…

Most companies take two weeks to do what @elonmusk does in an hour. Elon hired a machinist, negotiated his salary, and had him start — all in one conversation. On a Saturday at 6 PM.

One thing that stuck with me from Steve Jobs: real innovation isn’t saying yes to every great idea. It’s knowing which ones to kill. Imagine sitting where Elon sits. Brilliant pitches every day, across half a dozen companies. The hard part isn’t finding the next idea. It’s staying so focused that you don’t ship the next version until this one is right. Focus is the superpower. Saying no is how you protect it.

Day 1274. Third workout of the holiday at South West Rocks. Leave doesn't mean the streak takes a break. Same habit, different gym, better view. The holiday's for the family. The 6am session is still for me.
