sometimes i have more patience for antivax parents and then other times i spend the weekend at work helping take care of dying newborns and then i have little to no patience for them
not because my hypothetical patient’s parents this weekend didn’t get him vaccinated because they did but it just reminds me what it must have been like before vaccines when babies died from preventable infectious diseases all the time
and i do actually find it genuinely offensive to the memory of all those infants and small children and adults and elderly people too who died from these illnesses that we can PREVENT now with vaccines that you just like. don’t believe in
not to be dramatic but romantic love aside she also made him promise to end the hunger games and then died in his arms, thus condemning him to live instead of letting him kill himself or whatever
I love sotr, but I can't stand how romantic teenage love was treated as the most important thing for haymitch even 26 years after her death, while his mother who was burned alive wasn't even mentioned in epilogue
idk maybe i’m just dumb and stupid and watch too much svu but i thought we all knew, first of all, that if you’re too drunk or high you can’t consent to sex, and second of all, that consent can be retracted at any time
the worst thing that ever happened to me was realizing nothing earth-shakingly terrible would happen if i simply Didn’t Show Up (to class) or showed up Three Minutes Late (to work)
I got a coworker who claimed she couldn't show up at 9 because she has adhd.
She regularly rolled in at 10.
Our boss decided that she'd give her a bone and set our core, in-office hours as 10-3.
Coworker started rolling up at 11.
i think the most embarrassing thing about still being somewhat upset about julie and the phantoms being canceled is that i was fully an adult when the show came out. it’s not like a childhood nostalgia thing for me i was 20 whole years old
