Comparing an H1-B worker to the median American worker across every occupation in the U.S. labor market is not a relevant economic comparison. The relevant comparison is whether an H-1B worker is paid comparably to an American worker in the same occupation, in the same labor market, at a similar level of skill and experience. There is ample evidence that firms, such as those @michaelbd identify, exploit the visa program for labor price arbitrage, disadvantaging similarly situated American workers.

This is a correct assessment of the national GOP. When they are given the House, Senate and the WH, they are expected to deliver the results they promised. The GOP does not like this. Expecting to be held accountable is anathema to most of them. Once they are powerless, they can fundraise over what they say they will do, but never intend to do. And since they have no power, no one notices that they're full of poo-poo.
1) Save Act has not been passed because the parliamentarian has not been replaced. No reason not to do so, but, hey, as long as the Dem in that position stops you, you can shrug and say it's out of your hands
2) Failure to pass most/many of the savings identified by DOGE. A maybe once in a lifetime examination uncovered the fraud and waste but neither party wants to get rid of any of it. Quite the contrary.
3) Thune keeping pro forma sessions open to prevent Trump from making one single, solitary recess appointment. Now I think the process was abused by Clinton - to start- but denying it to the president of your own party is a tell, and not a good one
So what's the alternative? Despair? No, because despair only leads to socialist/communist immediate takeover. That is not doomsaying. It's the truth. The Dems are quite open about their plans should they retake power. Based on recent history, I am willing to take them at their word.
I don't know what the answer is but since we have recent evidence of what Dem unitary control of the government looks like, I will actively oppose that from happening again. Choose as your conscience dictates.
Senate Republicans want to lose the Senate. They want to just sit around making deals with Democrats and avoiding any accountability for what happens.
They want an environment where they can cast fake votes that allow them to look like they’re doing the right thing while getting what they want from Democrats—amnesty, ICE defunding, Trump impeachment.
A minority Senate where they can “vote right” but let Democrats get whatever they want is a dream scenario for McConnell and Thune.
Don’t let them let get away with it.
Vote like your continued existence depends on victory. Because it does.
The black pillers will tell you to stay home because nothing matters. But black pilling is gay. And giving puke RINOs what they want is also gay.
Don’t give Senate Republicans what they want, which is a Congress entirely run by Democrats. Put them back in charge and then make them miserable by forcing them to show up to work every day to secure the border and reform elections.
If you want to make Senate Republicans like McConnell and Thune miserable and angry, vote to keep them in the majority. It is the ultimate revenge for their nonsense.

The Federal Reserve printed roughly $4 trillion between March 2020 and early 2022, expanding its balance sheet from $4.2 trillion to over $8.9 trillion, and Jerome Powell stood in front of cameras calling the resulting price explosion "transitory."
Inflation is a tax. Every dollar created without corresponding production transfers purchasing power from savers to the first spenders. The government and its preferred financial institutions spent those fresh dollars before prices adjusted. You spent them after, at a grocery store already pricing in the damage.
By June 2022, CPI hit 9.1 percent, the highest since 1981. Rent, food, used cars, energy: all of it ran hot simultaneously. Monetary expansion redistributes wealth rather than creating it, taking from your pocket to give to whoever holds newly printed money first.
Powell's "transitory" call was deliberate. The Fed had every price signal and money supply number available. M2 grew 27 percent in 2020 alone. That expansion predicted exactly what followed.
The Fed created this inflation deliberately, financing pandemic-era federal spending that Congress could not politically tax you to fund directly. Printing was the cowardly path. You paid through purchasing power destruction rather than a visible tax line on your return, which is precisely why they preferred it.

I would like to feel sympathy for Ireland being invaded by migrants and losing their culture and country, because like most Americans I have a soft spot for "the Irish" based on Irish-Americans in our American culture. It's hard to describe how crazy it is here. The media, politicians and activists have absolutely lost their mind. People are trying to bully pubs that plan to show the match. Politicians are demanding answers from the Irish Wheelchair association for playing basketball in the same tournament as Israel. Activists are sharing photos of the names and faces of the Football Association of Ireland employees, saying they're complicit in 'genocide' for not cancelling the match. They're doing the same to the Irish Football players. A group of people broke into the hotel grounds where the players were staying, and even had Ismail Haniyeh's relative giving speeches of a megaphone, yes, that Ismail Haniyeh. We have another far leftist news website that's blatantly doxxing Israelis that live in Ireland. Saying where they work, their visa status, what their jobs were before, their relationship status, everything they can get away with saying. This isn't even to mention all the mental stuff over Ed Sheeran, which could have it's own thread with plenty of examples of lunatic headlines like this one.
