I have a question, probably a noob one, but when we import an account on Ping Pub, are we importing our private keys or it's just like connecting to a dApp with our public address enabled to be requested to sign. Thanks in advance.

No, Only public key is imported. I don't think it's possible to import private key or mnemonic from a secure wallet.
