When you're taking your truck to your neighbor's so they can load up their garbage to take to the dump and they want to go early so you agree on 8:00 a.m. and then it's 7:00 a.m. and you're all fuuuck but then you google the transfer station and it's not open until 9:00 ...

Testing is resumed after a decent amount of time screwing around with the ridiculous old-ass patched-to-hell software. 馃檮 Also, I forgot they need to finish their tests today, so now I'm just chilling with muh homemade Ibarra mocha.

And I should say, they're not tests. They're assessments. The software, unfortunately, uses "test," so no matter how many times I explain and use the word "assessment," I still fall back on "test" and they still see and think "test" and get all wigged out.

I want to leave for work at 9:15. I do not want to get up from my cozy seat with coffee. My mind keeps saying "9:00." Cool. I still haven't showered. It's not 9:00 yet. I'm fine. 8:49 ... annd I'm late. It's all good ... I'm not required to be early. It's a personal preference.

20 minutes early. I'll not mad at that. For the record, I'm almost always 2-3 minutes late. But I do like to be early for these classes to assure the room is set up and feels like an active space, not just run in on the hour, flipping on lights and booting up my laptop.

1/3 Every time I come across the Spanish word "malec贸n," (seawall), I think "mal," "bad." Supposedly Vulgar Latin picked it up from the Classical Latin "murex": a spiny sea snail or sharp rock. The etymology claims the word naturally morphed; the prefix here doesn't mean "bad."

2/3 Sometimes, I gotta call bullshit. So I asked The Google: to sailors, fishermen and coastal dwellers, spiny fish and sharp rocks ARE bad, so wouldn't that be the evolution of "malec贸n"? The Google swears it isn't so, but too bad, that's what I'm going with ...

"Malec贸n" evolved from something to be wary of into something far more pleasant, and now I can stop being bothered by that word because I know how it came about. Anyway, my morning is going well - I hope yours is, too.

I am not sorry I told the people who'd stopped their car in the middle of the lane right in front of CVS where the guy got out and was pacing around the car, talking on his cell phone while she sat in the driver's seat screaming into her speaker phone that they are utter shit.

No. Their car was not broken. Yes. There were tons of parking spots. WTF is wrong with people?

At my sunbird neighbor's waiting for the repair guys to finish.. I'm hungry. I opened her windows to air the place out and can hear Dog whining through my own open window. I've got four text message convos going. My neighbor's living room is red and bright yellow. I'm on edge.

On Walmart's website for my precious powdered detergent (no longer available in stores, fuckers). Checking out: do I want to add any of my other regular purchases: OxyClean? Organic Arrowroot AP Flour? Those ARE my regular purchases, but I've never ordered them online. 馃憖

Business complete. Next chore: Walmart ... *heavy sigh* haha - actually, our Walmart is really good. It's clean and bright and everyone is friendly and helpful and they've all been there for years. The heavy sigh is more about leaving the house.

Last night, I spotted a stray dog. No human. I couldn't take him with me so called animal control. Me: He's wearing a blue jacket. Dispatch: ... a blue ... jacket? Me: He's a dapper boy. About 15 minutes later his mom came running up the street all freaked out, so it ended well.
