Sorry to hear that Oscar winning actress Eva Marie Saint, who starred in North by Northwest passed away at the age of 102. I met her in 2019, when she was just 95 backstage at the Hollywood Bowl. She had good things to say about this film/score which she was happy to sign for me.

Today we lost a composer @edwinwendler and I have been a fan of for decades. These three movies are just a few of the many he made better with his music. Learn more about him here, tinyurl.com/mwd7s97r.

Watching JFK, my gosh John Williams soundtrack is one of my favorites. That main theme is perfection. Honored to have had Mr. Williams sign my soundtrack.

This was a LOT of fun! I was crying from laughter. Hope this happens again soon. Always nice to run into M.G. Been a nerdy admirer of his music since the start of his career.

Very sorry to hear that director Mark Rydell passed away at the age of 97. "On Golden Pond" is one of my favorite films and scores. Mark when I chatted with him a few years ago, had nothing but praise for Dave Grusin and the score.

.@edwinwendler & I count ourselves lucky when we get to spend a moment with our friend, composer @drrobfolk. Soon we’ll all be able to hear a new score by this master tunesmith. He’s completed work on director Martin Campbell’s upcoming thriller “Just Play Dead”.

It's a "Moonraker" kind of morning. Love this James Bond score! This 2CD set comes with two early versions of the song w/lyrics/vocals by Oscar & Grammy winner Paul Williams! Thanks Paul for scribbling on it :)
Less than 200 CD's left, get it here; tinyurl.com/yn5ub5zz.

One of my favorite scores & films. Very moving with a lot of emotional depth & great performances by the cast, which also included Olympia Dukakis. Happy to have this signed by Ted Danson. A marvelous score by the late composer James Horner, which will pull at your heartstrings.

My birthday weekend started off on the right musical note w/a fun visit to Academy Award winning composer, Bill Conti’s home. So funny, warm & full of spunk w/great stories! And of course I had to get him to sign my “The Karate Kid” score vinyl. Love that score & movie so much.

Very sad to report that a true musical genius, friend Thomas Bähler, has passed away. Edwin & I had lunch with him years ago at Chez Jay in Santa Monica. Loved story after story. Honored he signed 4 of my prized soundtracks. Strength to his family right now.

Happy bday to James Dean who would have been 95.
Today on his bday interesting enough I acquired a mint LP sdtk from Dean's last film "Giant" (1956) signed by the composer Dimitri Tiomkin. Being a big James Dean fan & having grown up near him in IN, this means quite a bit to me.
