If they come up with a vegan cat food that everyone agrees is healthy people will still be against it because it’s unnatural and doesn’t involve killing animals.
well yes professionals that are trained to know an animal’s medical needs are probably not going to agree to feeding your OBLIGATE CARNIVORE a vegan diet?? get a rabbit! you want an herbivore!

Sorry not sorry but you're clearly upset that vegans have the higher moral ground, but instead of improving yourself, you create a dishonest narrative. Lying is easier than actually doing something. Most palm oil is consumed by non-vegans btw and vegan products don't rely on it.

It’s pretty telling how meat eaters want to exclude the most heinous environmental offenders. Plant-based diet is the most sustainable diet and it’s not even close. Cope.
It's pretty telling how biased Western vegans are every time they bring up the beef industry because they think all non-vegans are rampant beef-eaters, like no babes most of the world's meat consumption is actually chicken which goes hand-in-hand with agriculture. Also fish.

People who are upset about the idea of vegan cats can ignore it just like they ignore animals in circuses, zoos, slaughterhouses, palpation cages, being dropped alive into blenders, etc etc

Um
Sorry not sorry but I vehemently think that Western vegans can never assume the higher moral ground for not consuming animals, when most vegan products rely on palm oil and palm oil plantations contribute to massive deforestation and fires that kill so many wildlife in Indonesia.

What is vegan cat food made of? How is it made? I can’t find the answer ANYWHERE!!
This isn't unpopular, it's wrong. For many, many reasons. Who's doing the synthesizing? Who's doing the formula balancing so that the end product is actually consumable and palatable for the animal? Who's doing the trials, because those are required and hello animal testing...

“Can cats be vegan” discourse is insane because there are almost 0 vegan cats in the world, but anti-vegans act like animal justice warriors for opposing it while approving of all actual atrocities happening to animals on an unheard-of industrial scale
"Can cats be vegan" discourse is insane because every vegan who brings it up acts like they're the first person to think of the concept. This has been studied before your parents were born. We have literal DECADES of evidence that cats can't be vegan. This isn't up for debate.

Trigger people who overlook systemic animal abuse with one easy step
Oh my God I'm having an aneurysm. What do you MEAN. Most vets won't agree to a vegan diet because WE WENT TO SCHOOL FOR THIS SHIT. WE KNOW YOU'RE WRONG. THERE'S NO CONSPIRACY. WE KNOW WHAT A MALNUTRITIONED, DYING CAT LOOKS LIKE.

Things anti-vegans approve of: 1) inseminating female dogs over and over to sell their babies 2) gassing pigs to death 3) holding down baby cows and slicing their neck almost all the way through Things anti-vegans disapprove of: 1) feeding cats a nutritionally complete diet

Hang on guys, we gotta hear from the person who briefly worked at a pet store
Replying to @seafoamsim
i briefly worked in a pet store and having ppl speak so ignorantly and so confidently about veganism for cats is so beyond infuriating. i do not care what nancy in your vegan fb group says. your cat will die a horrible death by your hands if you don’t get over yourself

Watching people crash out by simply stating amino acids are synthesized goes to shows the emotional reaction people have to veganism This guy crashed out and blocked me
Replying to @inaquietraj
Cats can be technically plant-based by synthesizing certain amino acids. It’s not a big deal

Exactly like I said- vet crashes out at the idea of synthesized amino acids. Really not such a big deal if you ask me!
Besides cost, the barrier to trying vegan food with my cats is having a vet on board. Vets are hostile to the idea of veganism just like most everyone else- plus their profits depend on hocking this or that food, even suggesting trendy anti-scientific diets like raw meat.
Community note
Vets advise against vegan diets for cats because they are obligate carnivores needing nutrients like taurine primarily from animal sources, per BVA, ASPCA and PetMD. Vets typically discourage raw meat diets due to bacterial/parasite risks, not suggest them. bva.co.uk/pet-owners-and… aspca.org/news/why-cant-… petmd.com/cat/nutrition/… goodrx.com/pet-health/cat…

People are in a spiral because there are plant-based cat foods that synthesize the amino acids found in meat. Studies show that it’s at least nutritionally adequate. Doesn’t seem like such a big deal to me but Twitter is crashing out over it

it’s definitely always been a heated debate, but meat can be humanely procured and consumed when we do our part to respect the food chain! it’s just getting harder to do (esp. in cities) the more the meat industry profits to make stupid shit - like triple decker burgers and junk.

You gotta love that he decided not to link to the social media pages of any of the genocide deniers he decided to have dinner with when posting it on his account since it likely would have backfired even worse for him if people could immediately see how much he's betrayed them
Last week, I was invited into the homes of Jewish New Yorkers across the city to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot. It was a pleasure to be welcomed into these sukkot, in a beautiful tradition rooted in gratitude, gathering, humility and community.

Zoos and aquariums are just NGO complex propaganda for humans’ right to plunder the earth and treat all other species as commodities so it makes sense that “zoo and aquarium science” degrees would be catered to idiots
This is a topic I can speak on. I went to school for Zoo and Aquarium science and no, you can't feed your cat a vegetarian diet. Their whole digestive system can not take any nutrition from plant life. Until "lab grown meat" becomes viable, feed your cat a proper diet.

He's gone from introducing a bill to stop New York nonprofits using their tax-exempt charity status to fund Israel, to increasing by 150% the funding for a nonprofit that takes New Yorkers to Israel on IDF-escorted tours. Is this the biggest sellout of all time?
I have watched in horror as Israel massacred Palestinian babies in Rafah. In New York, if you donate to the IDF unit that bombed those tents filled with children, you will get a tax break. Tell your legislator: Not On Our Dime! notonourdime.com/takeaction
