1. The basics:
Seedance 2.5 expands multimodal input a lot.
- Images: up to 30
- Videos: up to 10, 30s total
- Audio: up to 10, 30s total
- Audio-only input is supported in 2.5
- Generation length: 4–30s (vs. 2.0’s 4–15s)
- Output: 480p / 720p
Best practice for stability:
- For main video/audio subjects, 1–5 subjects works best; 6–10 is possible but less stable
- For main image subjects, 1–8 subjects works best; 9–12 gets less stable
- Reference video/audio length: ideally 5–10s
- Video editing inputs: best kept under 20s
- Reference images for video editing: 1–5 is ideal; 6–8 may work but is less stable
Multiple views:
- If you have 1–5 subjects, both single-view and multi-view images work
- If you have more than 5 subjects, single-view is more stable
- If you need multiple angles, it’s better to use multiple separate images for different views rather than one image containing many views

Seedance 2.5 is great! But it is also expensive (~$10+ per 30 second generation), so it is important to know how to best use it before hitting that generate button
