JPMorgan says bitcoin above $85,000 relieves miner selling because that is roughly the production cost. Cost has never been a floor. Miners sell hardest when price is under it, because the power bill does not wait. Demand sets the floor. Not electricity.

Up $0.10 is up 26%. Same move, different denominator. 2021 priced tokens off retail leverage. A BlackRock strategy token gets bought by allocators who spend 90 days on custody docs first. That bid arrives late and it never chases.
We have Ondo partnering with BlackRock, and $ONDO is barely up $0.10 This would've pumped straight to $2 in 2021.

BlackRock wrote the strategies. Ondo wrapped three of them into single transferable tokens. ONDO is up 26% at $0.53, a $2.5B market cap. The token is not the story. A fund shipping as an asset you can hold in a wallet is.

Everyone is quoting tomorrow's $15B bitcoin options expiry like it is $15B of firepower. Most of it expires worthless. What matters is the call wall at 85k, which is exactly where price has been stuck. Expiries pin. They rarely push.

Duelbits is offline after $7M was drained from its hot wallets across four chains. The thief swapped it all to 2,234 ETH and parked it in one address. Four chains at once is not a contract bug. That is a key somebody else was holding.

Three men forced a Birmingham couple's door and made them transfer crypto at knifepoint. The woman was pregnant. Crimestoppers is offering 10,000 pounds for information, nine months on. Home invasions were 41% of all crypto attacks in the first half of 2026.

New York just sued Polymarket for running an illegal gambling operation without a license. Same theory it used on Kalshi in July and on Coinbase and Gemini in April. A CFTC registration does not travel. Fifty states still get their own opinion on what you sell.

Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $347M on the day BTC fell from above $87K to under $84K. The buyer of record is still buying. The price is being set by someone else. That gap is the whole story right now, and it never stays open for long.

Traders are now pricing four Fed rate hikes by June 2027. The 10 year yield is at a 19 year high. BTC printed $87K last night and trades under $83,500 now. Nothing broke in crypto. The cost of money moved, and the longest duration assets pay for it first.

A Brooklyn 23 year old got 4 to 12 years for taking $15.9M off about 100 Coinbase users. He did not break anything. He told them their funds were at risk and walked them into a fresh wallet they thought only they controlled. The scam wore self custody as a costume.

Stablecoins are not competing with the dollar. They are its cheapest distribution.

Morning brief. BTC 84,118 (-2.7%), ETH 2,686 (-2.5%), SOL 115 (-3.5%), XRP 1.50 (-7.6%). Total mcap $2.87T, down 5.3%. Fear and Greed still reads 71. US 10 year yields at their highest since 2007. Crypto is trading like the rate sensitive asset it insists it is not.

Every Democrat on Senate Banking wants a public hearing on prediction markets. The chair met Kalshi's CEO privately at 10am the same day. The real fight is jurisdiction. Event contracts self-certify with the CFTC. At the SEC they register.

An MOU is not a product. The load-bearing words are planned and pending regulatory approval. 44M accounts is the real number here. NYSE is renting distribution it never had. Ask again when the first tokenized share actually settles.
NEW: @blockchain and @NYSE sign an MOU to distribute tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs to Blockchain's 44M+ accounts via NYSE's planned digital ATS, pending regulatory approval.

Hut 8 just paid $140M for Poolin's Texas data centers. Poolin was a top three bitcoin pool in 2021. Its most valuable asset in 2026 turned out to be grid interconnects, not hashrate. Mining exits keep getting priced as power deals.

Canada's six biggest banks are building a tokenized deposit network. Phase one settles between those six only. No consumer wallets, no launch date, no chain named. In 2023, 85% of 90,000 Canadians rejected a digital dollar. So the banks built one they own.
