We're certainly being held hostage by a past era and its outdated bureaucracy. Yet, people keep demanding more of it.

There are also draconian laws, written and unwritten, but nevertheless brutally enforced, that force everyone to hire worthless people and inverts instead of the best people.

When is someone going to upload all laws and legislation into a LLM and ask it to make sense of the insanity we currently have?

regulations multiply like bad wine. computers do not fix it

kinda like the mob. you can create something, but you cant sell it unless everyone in washington gets a taste.

It's because there's no party that just keeps the legislation as it is. A party that does nothing solves a lot of problems with incentives etc. The legislation should iterate towards the optimal legislation (optimal = nobody wants to change it, given the available options), not grow forever. But there's no option to stop the growth, so of course it keeps growing.

Is there any way to *remove* laws and regulations? Or is this fundamentally broken and impossible?

Conclusion: Only AI can save America from this overkill on regulations and laws.

AI is now a critical component in weapon systems. Pattern matching has been used in manufacturing since the 1980s/1990's. Now we are utilizing pattern match, motion control, safety overides, etc. It has to be sold as a second source requirement for national preservation.

Also “compute power” does not magically transform into a manufacturing line backed by a supply chain
