I didn't even checked if it works but a dark pool exists so a fund can sell 10 million shares without everyone seeing it coming and running the price away before they're done. that's the problem. you only have it when your order is bigger than the market can absorb on here you're buying $300 of a token from an amm
an amm is a vending machine. you put money in, it gives you tokens at a formula price, in the same transaction. nothing sits in a queue where people can look at it. there is no gap between showing your hand and getting filled there is nothing to hide. that's not a feature they're adding, it's already how it works
and a dark pool only works if there's enough flow to match against. you get a fill when someone else is in your window wanting the other sidethis has none. so you wait for the window and don't fill, or you fill against whoever runs the pool at a price they looked up and told you was fair
they're selling you protection from a problem you don't have
