PPP Faculty Director Carissa Hessick is at the Law & Society Annual Meeting today, presenting data from a new research collaboration with @BerkeleyLawCLJC

This is a decrease from previous years.
New research report:
A National Study of Prosecutor Elections and Campaign Contributions: 2018-2019
Key findings include changes in contested vs uncontested prosecutors, as well as a big increase in $$$ raised

I looked up Solicitor Gipson's campaign donations from 2018.
Check out the first report I found.
Lots of familiar names and.... defense attorneys.
Honest question: Isn't it problematic that defense attorneys can openly donate to solicitor's campaigns? Or am I crazy?
