Psychic Fever 1st US Tour is over now and I'm so glad that I decided to attend as much as I could (Sorry Seattle).
It has been 165 days since I discovered Psyfe. Thank you Weesa for having a face card so lethal it could my attention and I had to look them up. Turns out a friend ( @psyfezone ) had been a fan already. While I resisted a bit initially. Eventually I took the plunge and fell in love with their discography. Bee-po was actually the song that made me turn to my friends and say I really like them. So seeing Bee-po live made my day.
The more I dove into their discography, the more I loved them. Then learning that the members were cool people who took an active role in their music and ideas. I was smitten.
So much so I caught myself contemplating flying to Barcelona since I thought it would be my only shot to see them. But then I heard word on the stret they may come to USA. And then it became reality.
I was listening to their music non stop and even decided to make this account focus on them. So I was going. And to as many stops as I could. And I was bringing as many friends as I could with me.
So the countdown began for a 2 week long trip going to 5 of Psychic Fever's shows.
Looking back at each show, they were so worth it.
DC, I was full of nerves. But the energy of the crowd was truly unbeatable. And to see a crowd that was probably 90% black, possibly more. It felt amazing. And Psychic Fever... Well they brought it. They were everything I could have hoped for. There were slight slips and some kinks being worked out. But the show was phenomenal and can not be beat even looking back.
NYC. Again it was good to be surrounded by people who look like me. The energy was a bit lower, but that doesnt mean it was lacking. Lighting and sound was amazing. And again Psychic Fever delivered. A lovely smooth show.
Chicago! Ren's birthday! The day was cold. It snowed, but people still brought it for his birthday. After the show almost being canceled things pulled through. And Ren seemed so happy. The lighting wasnt great and the sound was kind of weak, but the show had an air of happiness and excitement. I'll admit this show it took a while for me to get into it. Crowd was up and down, but by the end it ended on that same exceptional high. AND THE AFTERPARTY. I had fun. It was great. The boys seemed to enjoy themselves too.
Dallas. My state. This show was a vibe. It had the energy. The crowd was filled with poc. The screaming was there. The singing was there. The guys were having fun. Dallas was just fun. The performance was just great. And at this point I realized that I do not get tired of watching them perform. Seeing the lil changes and quirks are fascinating.
LA. I gotta say LA always gets the good stuff, which is why I had to go. The fact they performed with John Fossiy who believes so deeply in them. But also JP the Wavy flew out yo perform and support them. LA was a big show for them. Industry people showed up and there was a lot of networking going on. As much as LA was a show for fans, it was also a showcase for them. I will admit that the LA crowd was a bit more mellow compared to some of the others, but that made it no less of an excellent performance. They always give their all and it shows.
I had so much fun. It was tiring and expensive. But I had so much fun with my friends. And i was really happy that I got to meet some really great forever along the way. Some of yall I can not wait to see again in the future. I won't sugarcoat it and say everyone was amazing. There were definitely some people who were not as warm and welcoming and occasionally rude. But they were not the majority. So thank you to the lovely people who made me feel welcome within this fandom. And to the ones I didnt get to meet but I saw yall being the best out there, hopefully one day I meet yall too.
This was a great tour. I'm glad I went. I wonder what my fate with @psyfe_official has in store. What will be next?

I just do not vibe with that man... Its not that we have nothing in common cuz there are some things... Its not that his energy is too much for me... Just something I cant explain where he just makes me go eh... I just dont get it
