Day 1 of Quantum World Congress has begun
The takeaways so far:
Governments at both the national and regional level are eager to invest in quantum. Some are already executing on quantum strategies, while others are reevaluating theirs with a focus on moving faster.
There’s a real sense of urgency around quantum right now and it's becoming more and more widespread.
And we’re only on Day 1. Plenty more to come from QWC!

We're going to Quantum World Congress!
From September 23-25, some of the biggest names in quantum across academia, industry, and government will come together just outside Washington D.C. to share recent breakthroughs and continue the conversation on how to progress the field.
Last year gave us plenty to talk about, from quantum security and government strategy to how quickly the hardware itself is progressing.
This year, @BeyondNISQ will be back for another three days of conversations with the quantum community.

Status Update on 63 + 48 Emission:
As of this morning, emission has been reenabled on both @EnigmaSN63 and @QuantumSN48. Reports have told us that this is true for the other subnets affected by this cutoff as well.
This is of course exciting, but does leave us with a number of questions still. At this time, we still have little insight into how these decisions were made or why.
If @const_reborn or anyone at @opentensor has these answers, we'd love to talk and share our own insights on how sudden changes like this can impact subnets and more importantly, the holders who see the vision and have staked their hard-earned TAO.
In the meantime, we'll continue with our own investigation, so we can avoid another event like this in the future.
It's been heartwarming to see the support from the community during this difficult and confusing time and we appreciate all of you who helped make our voice heard 🩵

Well that's awesome.
Eric Lu, a PhD from Harvard, just cracked RSA-260 (860 bit), setting a new world record for the largest factorized RSA key.
The last time this happened was in 2020 when a group of mathematicians broke RSA-250 (829 bit).
This step up is MASSIVE and just goes to show that the breakthroughs threatening our most critical systems could happen at any time. Better that we prepare for them now than be caught off guard when they happen.
