I want to address something I’ve never really talked about.
PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, is a condition that can happen after someone experiences something deeply distressing or traumatic. One of the things that can come with it is avoidance: staying away from people, places, conversations or things that remind you of what happened.
I’m not a doctor, so I’m not going to diagnose myself with PTSD.
But honestly, I feel like what happened with my wallet left me with trauma that I still haven’t fully dealt with.
Since my wallet was compromised, I’ve found myself intentionally avoiding anything related to
@0xIntuition.
Not because I hate Intuition.
Not because I hate the team.
And definitely not because I stopped caring about the community.
I actually love the Intuition community,
@0xbilly,
@fvngbill @h0xrus @halimaxxs and co.
That’s what makes it complicated.
Seeing Intuition posts, the community, the token, or even conversations about the ecosystem can sometimes take me straight back to what happened.
I remember the day.
I remember the wallet.
I remember the transactions.
I remember realizing something was wrong.
And I remember the feeling that came with it.
So I started distancing myself from everything.
I stopped wanting to interact.
Stopped wanting to follow things as closely.
Sometimes I’d see something Intuition-related and scroll past it.
It wasn’t really about the project itself.
It was about what the project had become associated with in my head.
Something I once enjoyed, helped me become a better video editor, became a reminder of one of the worst experiences I’ve had in crypto.
And honestly, it scarred me more than I expected.
I still love the community.
I still appreciate the people I met through Intuition.
But sometimes the community itself reminds me of what happened, and that’s something I’ve been struggling with.
I’m sharing this because I don’t want my absence or lack of interaction to be misunderstood.
I still care and love what we are building.
But caring about something also meant being reminded of something that hurt me.
I’m slowly trying to separate the two. 3’3.
