चुनाव आयोग को सूत्रों की दुकान नहीं चलानी चाहिए। बात केवल एक्सप्रेस की रिपोर्ट की नहीं है, उसके अलावा सैंकड़ों रिपोर्ट हैं जो SIR पर गंभीर सवाल उठाती हैं। उनका जवाब चाहिए न कि तीनों आयुक्तों की एकता का प्रदर्शन। ख़बर छपने के तीन दिन बाद तक अगर सूत्र ही बोल रहे हैं तो इसका मतलब है एक्सप्रेस की रिपोर्ट का खंडन नहीं कर पा रहे। ऐसा लगता है कि कोई आयोग के भीतर गिड़गिड़ा रहा है कि कुछ एकता दिखाओ वरना मुश्किल होगा। इसलिए मैनेज करना कोई बड़ी बात नहीं। एक साल से वोट चोरी और SIR की ख़बरें छपने के बाद मैनेज ही तो हो रही हैं। उससे कुछ नहीं होता। सूत्र से भूत भगाना बंद कीजिए।
