it also makes me realise that a lot of people become novelists when they probably want to be something closer to screenplay writers
unpopular opinion, but the love hypothesis was RIGHT to push the friendship between olive and anh to the centre. in the book anh read as such a fake friend, i couldn't get why olive stuck by her, but on screen, she's an absolute delight and it all makes sense.
