As a Community Services Committee member, I was ecstatic to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week for the City's new transitional housing facility on O'Connor Street. The facility will house approximately 125 families and will be pivotal to address homelessness in Ottawa.

I had a lot of fun dropping by the Canada Summer Jobs BBQ, hosted by Ottawa-Vanier-Gloucester MP Mona Fortier at the Vanier Hub this week, to acknowledge the 500+ youth in our area that benefited from paid summer work experience and skill development for the job market!

The City of Ottawa issued a special commemorative coin in 2026 to mark the bicentennial of the 1826 founding of Bytown. This week, I was happy to present coins with Mayor Mark Sutcliffe to local Ward 13 volunteers and community leaders as a symbol of gratitude for their service.
