People tend to overestimate what they can do in 1 year, but also underestimate what they can achieve in 10. I think this is the same with how the market perceives AI.

From today's loss against PSG, I learned that: 1. Turns out Barcelona's possession game is not the best in the world right now. 2. Turns out Barcelona's pressing game is not the best in the world right now. This game truly is a reality check.

Now that's Lamine Yamal!!!

Umur 19 tahun, Xavi Espart bikin Kvara gak keliatan sampai akhirnya diganti menit 60 karena cidera. Future is bright for Barcelona.

Kalau bukan karena Joan Garcia, entah udah berapa kali Barca kebobolan 😭

Gila juga nih #PSGBarça. Kedua tim pressing & rebutan possession saking intensenya menit 25 udah 2 orang cedera (Dembele & Olmo)

No Rodri in starting lineup. So in 20 year-old Marc Bernal we trust against #UCL champion side, PSG. The game is so on! #PSGBarça

Venue Ballon d'Or ceremony minggu depan ternyata deket kantor. Motivasi buat WFO siapa tau ketemu Lamine Yamal atau Messi kalau dateng.

Imagine earning £100k. Then you worked harder all year long and by the end of the year the company awarded £10k bonus or salary increase. Alas! only £3.8k actually landed in your bank account. The Govt took the £6.2k away. Would you work equally hard the following year?
Reading the FT and this is wild: ft.com/content/248b7408-b4cd… The UK taxes labor at 28% below GBP50270 and that jumps to 47% at that threshold and then it goes higher to 62% at 100k and then an additional rate of 47% after 125140. Incentive says to withhold labor up to a certain threshold because costs go up. Now, on a macro level, what does that add up to? A lot of underutilized labor.

In a society where personal value is built around credit worthiness, using your own money to pay your own purchase off is considered strange.

Di era dimana banyak hal akan diautomate oleh AI, jangan sampai kita males mengerjakan sedikit hal yg manusia masih mungkin punya keunggulan atasnya. Tapi apakah emang sesusah itu kah interview system design?

Clanker: "Spot on! You caught a major conceptual flaw in how <the-thing-I-asked-it-to-implement> is currently implemented" This is why you should still read the code.

Kebanyakan regulasi di area yg sebenernya gak perlu terlalu diregulasi. Alasannya ya pasti karena ada kepentingan yg dilindungi. "Opacity of shareholder structure " and "Coordinated trading behaviour". Ya pantesan aja ratingnya gak akan pernah tinggi.

Hmm kayanya kalo langsung system design sendiri berat ya, belum tau juga alternatifnya.. Tapi kalo tujuan awalnya buat ngertiin ato ngajak berpikir kuantitatif/sistematik, mungkin bisa ini goodreads.com/en/book/show/2… Dan kalo targetnya PM dgn background non-IT, ato siapapun yg mau ngerti gimana software dideliver (bukan ngodingnya, tapi operasionalnya), ini boleh sih goodreads.com/book/show/1725… Yg ini aku belum baca; aku cuman baca kembarannya (the devops handbook) yg lebih ke non-fiksi how-to nya, dimana si phoenix ini lebih ke why and what nya, harusnya 😄. Authornya sama.

Gw rasa 2 buku pertama udah ngewakilin statistik. Kalo gw mikirnya sih buku ini. Jadi nyeritain kenapa manusia menciptakan kalkulus, sampe gimana kalkulus dipake buat mecahin masalah di kehidupan sehari-hari

Gw orang STEM dan gw bilang kedua buku (Purcell & Holiday) ini useless ya buat orang soshum. Kalau kalian anak soshum beneran serius mau belajar berpikir lebih kuantitatif, gw rekomendasikan 3 buku ini. Insya Allah, having the best of both worlds akan sangat berguna bagi karir.
Seeing a lot of people saying STEM people should read soshum books and literature But nobody is telling soshum people to go read Purcell’s Calculus or Halliday Resnick Walker’s Physics

Ngasih rekomendasi mah yg praktikal aja. Yg habis dibaca langsung tau harus ngapain. Yakali sarjana hukum baca Purcell, pasti stop menyerah begitu nyampe bab limit 😆 Kalau dia bisa paham definisi ε-δ limit juga habis itu mau ngapain? wkwk..
