This was my first computer with a color monitor and a CD ROM drive. The Macintosh IIvx. Life changing, indeed.

Especially having FMV in games and other applications like Encarta. No more static images, it was actual video!

For everyone complaining about how expensive PC's are right now, adjust that $2199 for inflation.

I want to build a PC again. Just because...

It's the ChatGPT of the 90s

Back when $1400 was “a lot”

computer magazines were great in the old days with the tapes and cd's

Honestly, the first two years or so were sad. Configuration was daunting, software availability was bad. It took some time before they made something really good out of it. And then it was real good. Then we got games like Under a Killing Moon, and such.

Back when I was working tech-support in the early 90s, I got a call from a woman who broke her ‘automatic cupholder’… the struggle was real

To think that this was peaked technology back the day.

which year is this??

Excellent recall 😀

Now it’s chat to your agent over WhatsApp and ask have it email your boss

Our high school library had this along with a cd rom encyclopedia it was mind blowing!
