Writing some prod contracts I unfortunately can't share in @plankevm but I'll say: boy is it beautiful using comptime + cbytes to safely construct a perfect hash function for a table at compile time, and then have it embeded and cheaply accessible via `codecopy`. 👨🍳😎

Trying to define Interaction Trees in Bend2 but it's kind of challenging with the "all closures are affine" constraint 😄
Will have to see if I can find a nice pattern that works around this limitation using templates but honestly it'd be easier to just have reusable closures

Been playing around with @VictorTaelin's Bend2 today, mainly going through the guide, trying to absorb the fundamentals and so far I'm pleased.
My take so far is it's the Zig of theorem provers. Have yet to do something non-trivial with it tho, will keep you posted.

Bend 2 is here!
It is a new programming language that blocks AI mistakes via *proof checking* - the same technique big AI labs used to solve open math problems, like Navier-Stokes.
It is also very fast, and runs on GPUs.

RELEASE DAY
After almost 10 years of hard work, tireless research, and a dive deep into the kernels of computer science, I finally realized a dream: running a high-level language on GPUs. And I'm giving it to the world!
Bend compiles modern programming features, including:
- Lambdas with full closure support
- Unrestricted recursion and loops
- Fast object allocations of all kinds
- Folds, ADTs, continuations and much more
To HVM2, a new runtime capable of spreading that workload across 1000's of cores, in a thread-safe, low-overhead fashion. As a result, we finally have a true high-level language that runs natively on GPUs!

AI slop has fundamentally changed how I experience reading.
I now notice the tells everywhere. The short, punchy sentences. The relentless groups of three. The em dashes—the unnecessary little asides.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
The worst part? My brain now flags perfectly innocent human writing as AI slop too. AI hasn’t just made me enjoy bad writing less. It’s made me suspicious of all writing.
That’s a real loss.

If leading technical experts on AI say alignment is not on track and it could kill everyone, the first reaction should be "oh shit!!!", not "your org is bad at comms".
Jacob is correct here—we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.
