I just made my final payment to Leif for my ISA from my time at @bloomtech (FKA Lambda School). That means I've been coding professionally now for 2 years.
I've had many ups and downs but today I am proud of where I've come from and what I've accomplished. #womenintech #proud

After ending my journey at Lambda in the summer of 2020, I landed my first junior developer role. In October I was promoted to co-lead a team of 5 developers across 2 continents as well as begin my training to become a chief engineer. 🙏

Cam, I’m on Windows and it was really easy. I created a .bash_profile file. Then you can add an alias, syntax like this: alias gs=“git status”. You can comment with #.
Then you save the file and run “source .bash_profile” in the CLI. If you’re on Mac it’s even easier.

Went from writing React apps to creating an image of a Linux environment on AWS so our bash scripts are secure & can work on Windows and MacOS.
My dev journey is escalating quickly. 🎢

I think you just did set appropriate boundaries! The fact that you told her what you can do is setting the boundary. What you want is for her to not get upset - you can’t control that. People are going to react when you change your behavior. She’ll learn w/ time & consistency.

Stay sharp by building and keep doing code challenges. You’ve got this! The last year IS you preparing. Do your best and forget the rest! The right team won’t care if you know all the right answers. They want to see how you approach new problems.

This week at work I’ve gotten to build a widget using React.
Learned about AD, ADFS, LDAP, SAML, SSO, and tons of other fun, new terms.
Working with the BE dev to create the front end of our Server documentation. I’m basically helping build an in-house Swagger!!

I loved Nick White on YouTube. He helped me understand Big O a lot better just watching him explain code challenges and solutions.
Something that also really helped me too was building a linked list in repl.it. If you ever want to rubber duck me I’m here homie.

Today at work I set up a server for a partner using #AWS & #Kubernetes. Pretty neat!!
I'm also researching how to solve an issue where an iframe is getting a double scroll bar at certain viewports.
Also today I uttered the phrase, "Let's just use VIM for this it'll be easier."
