I am happy with my Nespresso, but after reading this post, and googling both the Radio Eight and the Chemex Ottomatic, I need one of these in my life. Will likely flip a coin to choose.

Honestly those auto machines only do slightly more work for you than a plain old chemex + their filters, good grinder (recently got baratza virtuoso+ here) and a gooseneck kettle (ie: bonavita) with accurate temp control.

I think I am ready for a little less work than the baseline chemex- that said, I would love if I could make this tea with the convenience of these coffee machines

Did you ever settle on a new coffee machine?

Your next best coffee machine is… the one you haven’t had yet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Like Miguel, I’m happy with my nespresso, but after more than 10 years, I’d like something…different

Yep, I tend to look for something new and shiny every 1-3 years… this is the current setup. The Ottomatic chemex thing was intriguing… I’ve also been building a semi smart coffee scale with meadow + my 3D printer to help with brew ratio measurements.

I had one of those Turkish coffee pots years ago and never really used it much so I got rid of it. Now I’m feeling regret 😆
