"We're not going to come along and say that everything in Northern Ireland is perfect. Every society has its problems and we're not going to deny that." "We are going to talk up the huge benefits that we see, and some of the real key strengths that Northern Ireland has, with the lower cost of living, with the key growth sectors, with the society that we have today." "But we're also wanting to offer practical solutions to the problems that people have." Tim Cairns on Renew NI "[This is] a lot of the stuff Pete Shirlow and Lee Reynolds were doing. Now obviously with Lee going into a new role, and Pete not able to continue that on, there has been a real gap within unionism of building that narrative story." "I really like that because I think there is a narrative... which I don't think is a fair narrative, that the Republic of Ireland is a land flowing with milk and honey... and this place is a dead end." "That's actually not the true picture. You've captured that there." "I agree with you. You're selling the right story." Listen to the full interview here: youtu.be/7ZYMaXslY1E @timcairns

๐Ÿ”Š What type of unionists are you? Ryan Hoey, Director: "We're all very muchโ€ฆ from-the-heart unionists. We truly believe in Northern Ireland's place within the United Kingdom." "But we recognise that we do have to make arguments that will appeal to those people who aren't from-the-heart unionist, who are practical, everyday bread-and-butter issue unionists." ๐Ÿ”Š Sarah Creighton on the utopian characterisation of a united Ireland "There are people who tell me about a united Ireland. Apparently, we're all going to be saved, the Americans are going to invest, Ireland is just going to roar and Britain's going to pay for the pensions. It's going to be great." "You think that's just nonsense." Learn more about Renew NI here: renewni.co.uk Register to attend our launch event here: renewni.co.uk/events

๐Ÿ”Š Professor Pete Shirlow's assessment of Renew NI "You're talking to people who have different reasons for wanting to stay in the Union: that 20% of Catholics who want to stay in the Union, compared to 6% of Protestants who want unity." "There's a very clear message here that when you talk to those people who are neithers, their focus is not identity, culture war politics." "We've had five years of polling now in which the gap between unity and Union hasn't narrowed." "But let's go back to one thing that this group has picked up on: 1 in 4 people who want to stay in the Union are not unionists. That's what they have identified." ๐Ÿ”Š Renew NI on BBC Talkback Ryan Hoey, Director: "There is lots to be positive about in Northern Ireland. We've got the lower cost of living... key growth sectors that are expanding." "We have got a society that is inclusive - that does allow people to be British, Irish, both or neither." "We do have problems. Every society has problems, but you can have faster, safer, better change within Northern Ireland than you would by some big constitutional upheaval." We can create a future where more people feel proud, not just of what we have overcome, but of what we are building together. Public debate can be focused on solutions. Public services can be made stronger, more sustainable and better able to meet the needs of those who rely on them. Northern Ireland can be recognised as a place that delivers: a stable, inclusive society with confidence in its future. We can build a Northern Ireland people donโ€™t just live in, but believe in. Renew NI exists to lead that work. Find out more here: renewni.co.uk

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Renew NI featured in the @BelTel this morning ๐Ÿ“ฐ Grant Warren, Head of Research & Policy: โ€œRegardless of what Northern Irelandโ€™s constitutional status is, a lot of these bread-and-butter issues, these problems, will still be there.โ€ โ€œOne of the understated aspects of the New Ireland agenda is that itโ€™s advocating for the abolition of Northern Ireland, whereas I think a lot of people value Northern Ireland as a distinctive place.โ€ Ryan Hoey, Director: โ€œThatโ€™s what our argument is going to be around โ€“ how you can have change within the current constitutional framework on different policy issues thatโ€™s better than the alternative of a big constitutional upheaval.โ€ Read the full piece here: belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/โ€ฆ

People in Northern Ireland want a focus on delivery, stronger public services and better economic opportunities. The foundations for a brighter future are already in place. Our economy is growing. We have competitive advantages, high-growth sectors, and lower costs that make Northern Ireland an attractive place to live, work and invest. In an unstable world, we benefit from the stability, connectivity and scale of wider economic and security frameworks. This is our moment - where the conversation can move forward, with confidence and ambition. Renew NI exists to lead that work. Find out more here: renewni.co.uk

Despite our strengths, Northern Irelandโ€™s story is too often framed around division, rather than what is working and what can be built. Confidence has been shaken by instability, pressure on public services and uncertainty about what lies ahead. We focus too much on competing futures, instead of improving the present we already share. As society changes, more people are moving beyond old divisions and looking for stability and progress. Yet that shift has not been matched by a coherent narrative about Northern Ireland - what it is today and what it can become. Renew NI exists to help lead that work. Find out more here: renewni.co.uk
