Ads for the US Senate race have saturated the airwaves, and they've become ubiquitous to the point of nearly becoming a meme. I did a double take when I saw this ad for Warhorse Casino. It featured Ricketts and Osborn lookalikes sharing drinks and laughing together.

It turns out the journalist from The Hill got it wrong.
In short, Walz was correct. She did not say those words. The Hill article misattributed the quote to her. It was actually said by Lincoln District 46 Democrat Danielle Conrad.

One of them was former Mayor Hal Daub, who had a specific challenge to the representatives behind the dais: create a group to "scrub your budgets to look for savings, and do it transparently so that by the next time we get to this same place where people are concerned about their property taxes."
