Why run checks at all? A transaction can be mined and still never finish its job.
The verification protocol in the public Ritual skills repo gives you five quick static checks that look for that kind of gap before you touch the chain.

First, we walk through the bugs the checks caught, one at a time: which check flagged it, what the fix was, and what it means for your own dApp.

The new lesson is what to do when nothing comes back.
An async call on Ritual can return a result, an error, or no answer in time. We will cover reading hasError first, sizing ttl in Ritual blocks, and mocking the empty, error, and expired cases.
