Yesterday was the anniversary of the Fulton St/Businessman’s Revival in New York City. On September 23rd, 1857, Jeremiah Lanphier stepped off his desk to hold a prayer meeting— nobody showed up until the end of the meeting there were 6. The meeting turned into 10,000 people in downtown New York that year, and around a million people came to faith all over the US. Be bold.

The economy is currently being destroyed because there are two choices in front of everyone, you can:
(i) "Become employim"
(iI) Gamble on a memory-backed 12-legged parlay
However you feel about financial speculators, when they all start doing too well and loudly talking about it, the desire to "work a job" or "provide value" drops to 0. Which means nothing gets done.
Which means returns go to zero.
So we need someone to loudly and publicly blow up every few years in a sort of "moment of societal allocator catharsis" where those who chase financial returns are ruined, such that those who work jobs can find the motivation to wake up on a Monday.
