THIS THREAD encapsulates so many of my feelings about Terry Pratchett and Discworld so beautifully.

Okay, look, this is why I am so upset by #TheWatch adaptation. I think I read my first #Discworld book a couple of decades ago, as a young teenager. I'd never read anything like it in my life. After that I went to the library every week & meticulously hunted for them, over years.

I am so unbelievably excited today. A momentous step towards positive change at the MFA.

Today, the National Labor Relations Board will receive the paperwork for the MFA Union. Colleagues from across departments are joining in solidarity for an amazing museum we believe has the power & potential to do great things. We are excited to share this next step with you!
A square image with the phrase “We filed!” displayed above the MFA Union logo. The union logo is a circle with “MFA UNION” written in large font followed by “UAW LOCAL 2110”. Beneath the logo is #mfaunion and the union’s tagline “A Museum For All”.

I was scanning this 1873 pamphlet for a patron and the name Zelda Lions caught my eye. What a COOL NAME thought I.

So of course I look her up. Her name appears on reports and boards for everything from art exhibitions to bank boards to adult education programs and reports for the White House.

I am assuming there was only one Miss Zelda Lions from Boston at this time but it's hard to tell because there is almost no info on her even though Zelda Lions - one or many - was a driving force in the community.

On the list of things ABSOLUTELY NOBODY HAS EVER ASKED ME FOR. Here’s the dialogue from the TV show that the Young family are watching in Episode 3 of #GoodOmens before Adam heads off for an early night.

Now all of my pleas for book writing, editing, and publishing swiftness shall be directed with enormous mental force towards Patrick Rothfuss.

Please join us in congratulating Nobby, the 2019 YWP Hide and Seek champion 🏆 Truth be told, we still haven't found him. We're pretty sure he's in this photo somewhere, but so brilliantly and cunningly hidden that we've got no hope of finding him.

Such a pleasure to have members of the American Trust for the @britishlibrary in Boston! Yesterday at our Hunt Memorial Library, MFA curator Larry Berman provided our visitors with fascinating background on the Museum’s Egyptian collection.

I just found the softest spot on my dog. It’s on her front right leg. And now she’s annoyed I stopped petting to tweet this.

I’ve just had one of the best music experiences of my life over the last two days in Boston. Thanks especially for closing with some Jackson Browne. You rock @ericchurch

That being said, it could worse. The worst that can happen is a couple books can’t be retrieved from the ether that curators/me/USPS sent them into. But STILL.
