This is a choice and it makes a huge difference in quality of life. Look at what people can offer because of their uniqueness or play org chart.

I mean... you can change job or quit. So yes it is a choice. My complaint is more other people are playing org chart while pretending they have something unique to offer.

Agree that the best thing is to map the right person with the right set of skills for the job. But still people would need to adapt because technology is changing (even removing) some roles. Even new skills we don't know might emerge.
