I was 10 years old when Battlestar Galactica launched on abc. The tv guide ads were provided by none other than Frank Frazetta. As you can see they are spectacular.

Jaw-dropping images. It’s fun to realize the legacy of BSG can span from these iconic Frazetta images to the more modern tone of our 2000s version, and everything in between.

I was 3 and my mom bought me one of the toy ships from K-Mart. I wish I had kept that ship 🥲

Very cool. Colonial Vipers and Cylon Raiders were two of the best sci fi ship designs ever.

Do you think Frank knew something about the line of beauty?

I kept wondering why the actual show didn’t look like this.

Loved Battlestar Galactica. Used to get scared about a Cylon invasion and had nightmares about them. I miss those days of great storytelling.

This should be a series. Animated series of BG based on the art of Frazetta? Yes please @SaraFrazetta

I was six/seven and saddened when the show ended. This was one of my favorite reasons ro spread out on the floor with the few Battlestar Galactica & Star Wars figures I had and watch this show. I got to meet Dirk Benedict as a young adult and thanked him for the memories!

Whenever I see the Moon in a partial phase in the daytime in a blue sky with clouds around it, I think of it as a "Cylon Moon" because of its resemblance to a Cylon Raider streaking through the sky.

Wonder what those originals would go for if they went to auction.

Mr Liefeld. I Saw Battlestar Galactica then too, but not the first airing, as President Carter was trying Israel and The PLO to agree to a peace treaty. I was 10, and went to bed at 8. Galactica was to begin at 7 but was delayed an hour. I have been a fan from when I saw it.

These images are amazing! I love the cylon ship design. And of course, it's Frazetta, so absolute perfection overall.

Frazetta’s style is iconic, but the show’s real genius was its grounded, military sci-fi tone-not the pulp fantasy aesthetic.

The first and second ones also were the illustration on the rear of the trading cards. You had to put together X number of them to see it completely though

And then, in classic Frazetta fashion, the product was never as awesome as the artwork. I love BSG, but I wish it looked that artwork.

When people ask me if I watched the reboot, i would just point to those pictures Frazetta did of the real BSG.
