Thank you to everyone who worked so hard for this.
The win for J is a statement of how much San Franciscans from all kinds of diverse backgrounds love this special space.
Parks are for people, and especially for our kids and their future.
The @sfchronicle has called it: Prop. I loses! That means it doesn’t really matter whether J continues to post winning numbers. JFK Promenade will remain car-free! 🎉🎉
Latest drop for Sunset Dunes has the park close to 50/50 in the Sunset with thousands more ballots left to count.
When people can see and feel a change, it becomes real and support grows quickly.
The lesson for civic leaders: We should do more big, hard things, even if they don’t seem popular in the moment.
The support will come!
From congestion pricing to parks to trains and housing, voters like it when change finally does happen.
This platform is gross, but I wrote something about all the discourse on BART and the transit ballot measures and the political reality we live in today over on LinkedIn.

We're thrilled that @LondonBreed has nominated Sara to the @SFMTA_Muni Board of Directors!
As a west side mom and community leader, Sara has championed many safe streets and transit projects, and will bring transportation planning expertise to the board at a critical time.
I’m deeply honored to be nominated by @LondonBreed to the SFMTA Board of Directors. I look forward to ensuring that Muni is fully funded, building trust with all San Franciscans and addressing our street safety crisis.
San Francisco — Thank you for resoundingly voting for an oceanfront park! Prop K’s approval is a victory for all who will soon be able to walk, roll, and enjoy the coast in new ways, every day.
Don't forget to vote YIMBY! We have a real chance to elect a pro-housing Board of Supervisors and Mayor. But that means we need to get out the word

In this week’s @StreetsblogSF, @RobinPam makes a case that Mayor Breed is the candidate with the strongest street safety track record. “We need leaders who don’t just say the right things, but who will back up those words with actions.”

I wrote this in @StreetsblogSF because we don't need more platitudes from mayoral hopefuls.
Making streets safe requires hard trade-offs. @LondonBreed has been taking action to transform our streets.
None of the other candidates are in the same league.

Farrell, Lurie, and Peskin all say they support bike lanes and ped safety.
But their positions tell a different story.
If safe streets and sustainable transportation is your top issue, the choice is clear: @LondonBreed is the only candidate standing up for our marquee wins 🧵👇
San Francisco voters: undecided on Prop K? Watch this 3 min explainer video from the League of Women Voters, followed by a debate between yours truly and the No on K side.
We've got a lot of roads (even TWO Great Highways in fact), but only one coast...

Great to see some speed enforcement happening on Monterey Blvd this morning!
4 @SFPD officers out ticketing speeders in both directions 🙌
This area is one of 33 locations getting a speed enforcement camera early next year, and it can’t come soon enough!
If there were any other product where mistaking two buttons right next to each other meant the difference between life and death we would stop production until the error was corrected.
The entire auto industry should be asking itself why this kind of driver behavior is possible.
The driver accused of striking and killing a family in the West Portal neighborhood told an eyewitness immediately after the crash that she had tried to brake but “accidentally moved (her) foot onto the gas pedal,” according to court records. trib.al/NxhuJ32
It’s disappointing that @GavinNewsom vetoed SB 961, a modest bill to address deadly speeding by requiring the auto industry to change how they design vehicles.
All new vehicles should come equipped with speed limiters. Like seatbelts, this would save 1000s of lives every year.
The driver here was clearly at fault and must be held accountable.
And yet to eliminate traffic deaths—or even reverse the startling upward trend we’re on—we have to talk about designing roads and vehicles that protect everyone in and out of vehicles when people drive recklessly
