An immersive view into the studio with the new 360 cam!
This new tool has really opened my eyes to what’s possible in photography and spatial capture to envision a physical experience in a digital and shareable way.
From someone who mainly shoots analog film, this feels like the bleeding edge of where photography is heading and is possible to create 3D worlds as you move through space.
It’s funny, because before this camera was invented I wrote and drew in my journal over a decade ago to design a 360 degree camera that looks and felt like an orb that captures its surrounding, but how to engineer and actualize this lens idea?
This summer I played a lot with drones and 360 cameras and will start integrating this in my work flow and creative process, wether it’s behind the scenes or making art with the tools itself. I’ve always been reserved when it comes to digital cameras, which is why I mainly shoot with film and analog cameras. But these tools should not be faded and it’s time to learn something new that invigorated a sense of learning and new perspectives that are possible to create with!
Come explore my art space in the link below and get to know me and my practice better through the Gaussian splat / immersive digital that the camera generates now as of last week’s update! This tool is so fucking cool 🔥
