I’ve heard that Covid has now been baked in to the excess death numbers, so that could explain some of it. Also, maybe we killed off so many vulnerable people earlier in the pandemic, we got nowhere to go but up. 🤷‍♂️ I don’t have a science brain, so what do I know?

The thing is Canada's public health authority actually does say over & over that COVID increases the risks of developing other health conditions. I can probably cite half a dozen reports laying this out on in plain language. The problem is we do nothing.

a major issue with the public's idea of covid is that they see it as a singular event, not a persistent ongoing threat it's why they love saying "but it's 2026," as if airborne pathogens can perceive time "but the govt would tell us if it was bad" really? you sure about that?

Hospitals everywhere cannot sustain what's coming. I suspect BC hospitals are similar but due to HPOA, no healthcare worker can speak up for fear of Govt reprisal.

I went to a festival in my hometown that I did a poster and design work for. There was also a street market during the daytime. A couple of old friends stopped by and when they saw my mask, they mostly ignored it other than the comment “That’s Marc”. It kinda stuck with me.
