Replying to @figma
@figma's MCP server keeps getting better. You can now pull the raw code being used for all the shader effects in canvas, via the MCP server. Here's a quick little demo of me implementing a CRT shader effect on an existing app. Figma also comes with maaany shaders out of the box!

i wanted to explore simpler shaders in @figma that could potentially be used for more subtle, quiet interactions. thinking about making a small library of them too. curious if there are any particular effects you find yourself needing quite often?

Loved Resident Evil. As a fan of the series and first time RE1 player, it was such a delight, with so many nods to the gamers that know the series.

Starting next week, I’m going to publish one shader a day to Figma. Tell me what you want me to build and I will give it an earnest go.

been playing with shaders in @figma and finally put a few up in community. the blob mask one is so fun to just sit and watch. komorebi is probably my favourite though, it’s pretty generic, so it works really well as a background. some are still in approval, but would love if you tried them!

Beautiful attention to detail in Figma: when you drag a numeric input over the screen edge, it comes around on the other side as virtual cursor. Anyone knows who designed this and if that's the first occurrence of this mechanism?

Astra is one of the first models where i've felt confident enough in it to pull off a silly idea I've had for years for my website.

It's actually bonkers how easy it is to create new tools directly in the Figma editor Was messing around with a photocopier texture and first pass already looks pretty nice

Shaders and generative plugins are now easily shared in the @figma community. I published some for today to help you get started. They are great for motion workflows btw!
