When the bulldozers sent by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation to demolish book stalls set up by the CPI(M) were turned back by people’s resistance, the BJP took a leaf out of the Nazi playbook and sent in armed police personnel, along with BJP-RSS goons, to smash the book stalls. The priorities of the BJP government are evident when it deploys a huge police force to destroy books, while 19 people, including a child, lost their lives in Chorbagan due to the lack of adequate police arrangements to control crowds and ensure public safety.

Delhi Police Warns Against Sharing Police Personnel’s Photos, Fake News on Social Media
IPS Rajeev Ranjan, Additional Commissioner of Police and PRO, Delhi Police, said:
- Some social media handles are sharing photographs and videos of police personnel, publicly revealing their identities.
- Attempts are also being made to spread misleading narratives through fake news and misleading content.
- Delhi Police is monitoring such content and accounts. Attempts to spread fake news, disclose identities without consent or disturb law and order through false information will invite appropriate legal action.
- Citizens have been urged to verify the authenticity of photographs, videos and news before sharing them on social media.
