An Emirati pilot was stabbed trying to save a plane. Israeli passengers fought back. A South African and a New Zealander landed it safely in Saudi Arabia, where the passengers have been looked after. That, my friends, is the United Nations. The real one, not the one giving speeches in New York.
Community note
Reports identify the stabbed captain as Indian national Capt. Smit Machchhar (ex-SpiceJet), not Emirati. Off-duty pilots (reported as South African and New Zealander) helped land the plane in Tabuk after Israeli passengers subdued the Omani co-pilot. news18.com/world/who-is-s… x.com/TimesNow/statu…

I find that my life improves a lot when I shrink the time horizon. Instead of worrying about long-term goals, I just focus on the next hour. Do one thing that moves me forward. One closed loop. One workout. One hard conversation. One whatever. Thinking about how to build a successful life is daunting. How can you have a successful day? How can you win this hour? Do that. Then do it again. Momentum is a byproduct of movement.

So not only has Iran brazenly lied about its ballistic missile range capacity, but this means it can probably hit the UK with them - and we have zero, I repeat ZERO, defence against these missiles. Very worrying.
🇮🇷🇺🇸🇬🇧 Iran just proved its missiles can reach far beyond the Middle East Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK military base sitting 4,000 kilometers away in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Neither hit the base, but the message landed harder than any warhead could. Tehran has always publicly claimed its missile range tops out at 2,000 km. This strike attempt doubles that number overnight. The Khorramshahr-4 that likely carried out the attack can also deliver cluster warheads, the same munitions that have been devastating Israeli cities for three weeks. Look at the map. A 4,000 km range from Tehran draws a circle that reaches Paris, London, and most of Europe. Every NATO capital that thought this war was a distant Middle Eastern problem just realized Iranian missiles could theoretically reach their doorstep. Source: @sentdefender WSJ

If Kamala Harris had won, Iran would still have their nuclear facility. Our southern border would be OPEN. Our free speech would be censored. Hamas would still have hostages. Maduro would still be in charge. Thank God President Trump won!🇺🇸

🇮🇷 Iran publicly hanged 19-year-old champion wrestler Saleh Mohammadi after torturing him into a confession. His crime: protesting. Athletes represent everything a society should aspire to. Executing them is the regime sending a bleak message.

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 The Iran war is already shaping 2028 Vance hasn't decided whether to run in 2028, telling close associates his fourth child coming this summer and family life take priority. But the people around him are already gaming out how this war defines the next Republican primary. If the conflict drags on for months, whoever seeks the GOP nomination will have to answer for it. Vance built his political identity on opposing forever wars. Now he's the vice president of an administration running one. Every week Operation Epic Fury continues, the distance between his brand and his record grows wider. Source: WaPo

The Iranian regime executed a 19 year old for demanding democracy. I stand with his memory and the thousands of other young Iranians. Those who grieve the elimination of Iranian leaders over murdered protesters is telling.
Today, in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests. 💔 After signaling to the world, including President @realDonaldTrump, that they would halt executions of protesters, the regime has done the exact opposite. Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial. Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal. I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices. This is not just about sports. This is about human dignity.

If I were POTUS, this is how I would conduct and conclude a regime change operation in Iran within 72 hours. First 24 Hours: Massive bombardment of air defenses, nuclear sites, and ballistic missile launchers and stockpiles. Assassination of Khamenei and his son Mojtaba. Assassination of Larijani and all key political leadership. Targeted strikes to destroy every single IRGC base in Iran. Targeted strikes to destroy Basij command and control in cities. Await surrender or a coup by the national military (Artesh) and/or a popular uprising toppling the regime. Second 24 Hours: Destruction of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic. Assassination of all key reformist politicians. Targeted strikes to destroy every single military base in Iran. Coordinate seizure of media and other key institutions by revolutionaries. Air drop Lion and Sun flags for a mass popular uprising nationwide. Third 24 Hours: Send Delta Force to secure an airfield in Shiraz. Land Reza Pahlavi and his transition team in the Shiraz airfield. Secure Pasargadae as the site for Pahlavi’s first address to the nation as transitional head of state. Accept surrender from the last elements of the Islamic Republic in Tehran. Embed special forces within defected units of the Iranian national military loyal to Pahlavi to help coordinate establishment of secure conditions in the capital, to ensure the territorial integrity of Iran at its borders, and control over vital oil and gas resources. With the scale of US military force currently deployed around Iran, there is NO REASON why this kind of operation cannot be successfully carried out.
